Siemens Digital Industries Software will make Polarion X, its next-generation application lifecycle management (ALM) software-as-a-service (SaaS), available on Microsoft’s cloud and AI platform Azure. This collaboration is an expansion of a longstanding partnership, bringing together Siemens’ deep industrial expertise and Microsoft’s cloud and AI capabilities. Polarion X on Azure offers a secure, scalable, and intelligent ALM solution tailored for regulated and safety-critical industries. Polarion X orchestrates the entire software engineering toolchain, enabling teams to accelerate development, ensure compliance, and drive innovation with confidence. Through seamless integration with Azure DevOps and Siemens’ solutions like Polarion X, Teamcenter software for product lifecycle management (PLM), Designcenter software for product engineering, Opcenter manufacturing execution software (MES) and Insights Hub, Polarion X provides a unified environment where software requirements, code, builds, tests, deployments and compliance converge. “Polarion X on Azure represents a major leap forward in how industrial organizations manage complexity, compliance, and collaboration when developing mission-critical software,” said Frances Evans, senior vice president, Lifecycle Collaboration Software, Siemens Digital Industries Software. “Together with Microsoft, we’re enabling our customers to harness trusted AI and cloud scalability to transform their application development processes.” “Siemens’ Polarion X on Azure is empowering manufacturers to accelerate innovation and time-to-market with secure, AI-driven product lifecycle management and design solutions - delivering the scalability and compliance needed in today’s market,” said Dayan Rodriguez, corporate vice president, Manufacturing and Mobility, Microsoft. Ziehl-Abegg recently migrated to Polarion X on Azure. “After thorough evaluation, Ziehl-Abegg transitioned to Siemens’ Polarion X on Azure for the financial and technical benefits. The fully-hosted SaaS solution has significantly reduced downtime and maintenance efforts while meeting our security standards,” said Christian Bock, head of Requirements Engineering, Ziehl-Abegg. “The migration has allowed us to save tens of thousands of euros annually. The ability to use licenses globally is facilitating collaboration with our international development hubs, keeping us constantly up-to-date with the latest features. We are confident that Polarion X on Azure is the best choice for our requirements and engineering strategy.”
